BEAUMONT PARISH COUNCIL AND VILLAGE HALL
It is pleasing to report that the joint efforts of the Parish Council and the Village Hall Committee have resulted in a successful bid to the National Lottery’s Awards for All Fund. We have been awarded the full amount of £8980 which, together with the allocation of £6000 from the Essex Community Awards Fund now enables us to undetake the building of an extension to the Village Hall to act as a store room for the furniture, the replacing of the entire floor, the upgrading of the kitchen and complete redecoration. We also expect to be able to replace most,if not all, of the tables and chairs. Work will begin as soon as arrangements can be made. Some disruption to regular users will be unavoidable but will be kept to a minimum and hopefully the improvements will benefit the whole community. We will contact everyone who uses the Hall to ensure minimum inconvenience.
Thanks are given to the Village Hall Committee for their efforts and particularly to Marilyn Peck, who prepared this very successful Lottery Bid.
An open evening will be arranged for the reopening of the Hall when the work is complete and we hope that the improvements will attract parishioners to make use of the building.
