Beaumont Parish Council March 2007

       1.    Summer Fete   The fete will once again take place on August Bank Holiday, ..Monday 27th August, in the grounds of Beaumont Hall, thanks to Bridget and Ben Fisher. There will be a final planning meeting to ensure that all is in place on Friday 22nd June in the Village hall at 7-30. Please reserve this date and make every effort to attend. There are, however, several events which require earlier action if you need to book things in advance, like the bouncy castle, the pony rides, bric-a-brac, tombola, Big Bug Experience, dog display etc .Please make the necessary bookings now if you need to.
   We are anxious to add activities to the programme- either side shows displays or activities. If you have any suggestions or would like to offer your services then please contact Ben Fisher, Tracy Stevens or myself on 860065 .

2. The Village Hall Committee has committed itself to continuing with the modernisation of the Hall. Work has begun on phase 1 which is the extension, relaying the floor and renewing the furniture. The Committee is now in the process of raising funds to replace the windows, to replace the heating system and to provide hard standing for disabled access. A grant is being applied for but some local funding will be required. Please support any event when it is arranged.
3. The footpaths are due to have maintenance carried out this year. If yuu are aware of any footpath problems please contact Bob Cole or me on 860065.
4. The Annual Assembly will be held on Monday 16th April at 7pm in the Village Hall. This will be the last meeting of the present Parish Council before the elections on May 3rd
