BEAUMONT PARISH COUNCIL July 2006

Notes on meeting held on 19th June 2006.

1. The landscaping at Wass’s Corner will continue when E.C.C. highways can programme the removal of the asphalt. Trevor Wrycraft would like to plant in October/November. Meanwhile the temporary Bund should protect the site from incursions.
2. The Parish has received a grant of £6000 from Essex County Council’s Community Initiatives Fund to extend the Village Hall to provide a larger kitchen and storage for the chairs and tables. The Village Hall Committee is also applying for a Lottery Grant to enable us to install a new floor , new furniture and redecoration. Planning Permission has been applied for.
3. The Playing Field has been inspected by R.O.S.P.A. and approved. Some minor repairs were suggested and work is in hand.
4. Plans for the fete were discussed prior to the planning meeting. Helpers are asked to meet at Beaumont House on Monday 21st August at 7pm to discuss final arrangements.
5. The Beaumont Parish Web Site is now launched at www.beaumontparish.co.uk. Please visit the site and make use of it. Items for inclusion should be forwarded using the links on the site or handed to myself or any Councillor.

BEAUMONT VILLAGE FETE

Your help is requested to ensure that the fete is successful. Please help by donating items for theBric-a-Brac stall, tombola, raffle prizes,cake stall or books. You are also invited to offer your help on the day in any capacity. Donations can be given to Ben Fisher, Tracy Stevens or Geoff Macey or left at the Brooklynne Farm Shop. Otherwise telephone 860065 for collection.
